Legends Sports Bar & Grill - Posted 6/8/07
First, you need to ee the menu!
For many people Legends Sports Bar is a regular stop after work or on the weekends. A friendly environment with a newly remodeled layout and a big patio, what more could you ask for?
Legends has four different area to suit whatever mood your in and dozens of
TVs all around. You walk into the bar with high top tables and room to sit
or stand. Take stroll to the right and relax in the sun on Legends patio. You
can break off into two other spaces, the “I’m gonna grab a bite to eat section” and
the game room. The dining section has a number of tables that can be arranged
to fit any party and moved easily for weekly karaoke. The game room host darts,
a pool table, and a never-ending jukebox.
The menu or “playbook” is unique and filled with favorites from over the years. Legends Sports Bar & Grill can start you off with a “Pre-Game Pep Talk”, appetizers for the non-sports fan. Spinach artichoke dip, onion rings, or fries on steroids also known as fries smothered in jalapeno sauce, bacon bits, and scallions.
We decided to start or meal with the Phoenix dip, the “dip with zip!” It’s a super-double secret recipe at Legends that is locked away. Trying to decipher it we came across small pieces of chicken mixed with cheese, buffalo sauce and other secret ingredients that make a fiery start to our meal. The Phoenix dip is splendid and should be enjoyed until the last scoop.
Legends Sports Bar & Grill cover every base with their menu. Salads, pastas and sandwiches spot the menu but the focus is on “The Burger”, the legendary 2-pound steakburger. Not only does it take up a page on the menu it also takes up your plate.
Since I was lacking the “intestinal fortitude” that Legends says is needed for the 2-pounder I went for it’s younger brother the Bruin Burg
er. Half pound of Angus beef served up medium rare and topped with the basics: pickles, ketchup, mustard and lettuce. This is how I picture a burger; it hangs over the bun, lettuce and pickles snap with each bite and the juice drips onto the plate. Legends Sports Bar & Grill
can cook up a terrific burger of any weight.
If you don’t know Legends Sports Bar & Grill you should. It’s a superb sports bar that helps you eat, drink and breathe sports. For a 12-ounce drink or a 2-pound burger Legends knocks it out of the park every time.
