Mackenzie's North is absolutely my favorite restaurant in Columbia. My family and I go every chance we get,especially on important occasions. I always recommend this restaurant to all my friends and people coming into town. Love your food. Keep up the good work.

Our first time at either of your restaurants and what a disappoint. Wait staff was pretentious, (not sure if we have a table available if you don't have reservations), maybe the 10 tables that weren't used the entire time we were there. Found a piece of paper in our scallops and apparently it happens all the time if the waitress' attitude toward it is any indication.Parking was horrible due to snow still piled up almost 2 weeks after the storm. Food wasn't horrible but certainly was less than spectacular not to mention overpriced for what we got. We both agreed we won't go back before we even left the restaurant. The steakhouse on Forum was so much better we'll go back there next time.

Food is awesome, atmosphere....not so much. Their 5 year old child running around, and cartoons playing loudly on the TV totally turned me off. Granted, they had just opened and it was just me and one other lady present at the time, but I couldn't wait to get out of there. Not everyone is a "kid lover". I just didn't expect it in an upscale place such as that.

There's not a doubt in my mind that this is the best place in town. Only place I've been that my better half thinks they can grill a steak better than him. They don't charcole the outside like that place on Forum and the owners are acutally nice (most places i've been they are all ego). Plus the food is great! Love everything I've ever tried there :-)

Oh Mackenzies I was scared this would happen when I heard you opened a new place downtown. Too many changes!! The fried wontons you can get at chinese restaurants for the crab dip and the croutons on your salad. How dissapointing. The table next to us was dissapointed too as they had also been long time customers. The food is no longer excellent its average or below. Very dissapointed. Not sure if you moved your chef downtown but something needs to change at the north location. And the brownie with the peppermint ice cream dessert gone what a shame!! Please read this and change it back or you will be passed up by many customers I'm sure.
