This restaurant is extremely overrated. The food is mediocre at best and the service has much to be desired. The prices are extremely high and I can cook a steak better than the one I received when I was there

I went to Alexandro's once, and would never go back because the service sucked. I felt like I was being rushed to eat and get out. It was insulting the way they were rushing and never asked once how the food was, the only time they came around is when, "can I take that from you?"--it's rude to ask someone if you can take stuff away from their table especially if they are still eating. What is with the service in Jefferson City.

I will now have to say that expensive restaurants in Jefferson City is not worth the money. Most of the services are flat out crappy, no idea of what "service" is about. This tells me that it's worth cooking at home even for one person on most days.

I purchased a gift certificate for family here
and the owner would not honor the agreement because it was FOUR days "Out of date" ...The
service and food has continued to deteriorate
through the years anyway... Not recommended...

We go to Alexandro's for all of our special occasions; it is our favorite restaurant in Jefferson City. I would recommend anything on the menu--they have excellent steak (and it is always cooked PERFECTLY), pasta, and salads. Be willing to try new things here though: their beef topping of the evening is always good, their soup is delicious also (but don't get it if you don't prefer cream-based soups). The daily seafood specials are also unique and tasty. Their house dressing is an anchovy dressing, and I hate anchovies, but love the dressing (you can't taste it). Also, TRY to save room for dessert! Their Snickers pie is divine! They took my favorite dish off the menu (the Torenado Supreme), but the chef still makes it for me upon request. They have a back room, too, if you have a big group (like we sometimes do) or are very loud (like we always are). And the service is great, too. I would recommend the brunette waitress who is about college-aged: she is enthusiastic, polite, and very prompt.

I don't know what all the buzz is about with this restaurant - we were taken here by friends for a special occassion and found the food to be average at best and the prices to be extremely high for what we got. The staff was adequate but not spectacular. I think if you're going to pay $100 plus for 4 people the food, service, and total experience should be memorable not just average. I could have gotten food just as good at any of the chain steakhouses in Jefferson City and still had money to put gas in my car.

I think this is the best restaurant in Jeff City. A great menu and the best escargot I've ever had, east or west coast. Overall a delightful dining experience.

Alexandro's is one of the best places I have ever been to. The service and food were so wonderful. The servers and host's were polite and very friendly. I can't wait to go back!

One of the few "classy" restaurants in Jeff City. There is a decent selection and the chef's evening special is always delicious. They serve the best prime rib in town! Service is usually great and the price is reasonable-high considering what it is you order. It is a family-ran restaurant with a chef that will keep you coming back for more!

Excellent food but on the high end. Probably not for a night out with the kids. Great for special occasions or a romantic dinner for 2. Fine dining.
