The good thing about the heat in Mid-Missouri...it's never too hot for Culver's concrete's!

The Pasta Factory

The Pasta Factory has made the move from downtown Columbia to a new location on west Broadway (just across from Hy-Vee). They've kept their signature favorites on the menu, but relaxed the atmosphere a bit. The MidMoDiningGuide.com crew visited during a busy weekday lunch hour to check out the new digs.

Les Bourgeios Vineyards- Blufftop Bistro

For impressive dining with a view, we can't recommend better than Les Bourgeios Vineyards. We were there on the first day they were serving from their new menu and had the opportunity to taste and report on all the new goodies…

HuHot Mongolian Grill

HuHot is located off East Nifong on Buttonwood Drive next to KFC. The contemporary furniture and art mixed with earth tone colors takes you right to the heart of Mongolian culture--their logan is "Create. Feast. Repeat" for a reason! When you walk up to order, you'll see a variety of fresh meats, noodles, veggies and Asian-inspired sauces, like Samurai Teriyaki or Black Thai Peanut. Pick and choose your favorites, then leave it up to the chef to grill your meal to a whole new level.

Babbo's Spaghetteria

Babbo's is located on Grindstone Parkway in Columbia past Walmart and next to Taco Bueno. The Italian restaurant replaced Plush Pig BBQ recently and just started serving lunch! The location is a little off the map, but the house made sauces and salad dressing doesn't disappoint, and the chandalier mood lighting is sure to be a hit with your sweetheart for a romantic dinner date.

International Cafe

International Cafe is a quaint little downtown restaurant. Recently relocated from it's original location on Hitt street, the café has found a new home on Ninth street, right next to Lakota Coffee Company. Loyal followers will be comforted by the mural of the former Hitt street shop on the wall of the outdoor seating area out front.

Ria's Restaurant and Lounge

Ria's is a well known Jefferson City hangout, and while many opt for the buffet option during the lunchtime rush, our crew went for entrees off the lunch menu. The restaurant is located on West Edgewood, so it felt like the drive took forever to get there, but our server was amazingly friendly and helpful in food recommendations, seating and splitting the bill. He even gave us to go cups for our drinks.

63 Diner

Like most diners, 63 boasts an array of greasy comfort foods that can only be found in that atmosphere. From burgers and chocolate malts to country fried steak and onion rings, everyone at the table will be sure to find something they like on the menu.

Jazz A Louisiana Kitchen

The restaurant brings Louisiana home to mid-Missouri, complete with crispy hushpuppies, creamy coleslaw and spicy dishes that will knock your socks off (make sure you have a drink nearby). All meat can be grilled, blackened or fried to your liking, and for those you with more timid taste buds, the menu clearly labels which options are super spicy.

Taqueria el Rodeo

MidMoDiningGuide.com staffers were looking for new places to celebrate Cinco de Mayo and wanted to check out and review Taqueria el Rodeo LLC for our Facebook fans.

Broadway Brewery

Not just for brews; Broadway Brewery is all about “Cultivation and Fermentation,” meaning they not only brew their own stock right there in the same location, but also “celebrate local farmers and local food with a rotating seasonal menu that highlights the fruits of the area’s finest farms.” That means you get delectable and different selections to enjoy (like turnip soup) that are always fresh and seasonal.

Coley's

Self-titled "the best kept secret in Columbia," Coley's features sandwiches, burgers and entrees with a unique twist--From their Chicken Philly with a Cajun blast of flavor to their Vegetable Sandwich steaming with grilled eggplant and zucchini, each dish is far from your mainstream American bistro.

Saigon Bistro

Saigon is located in downtown Columbia on east Broadway Street. The outside looks small, but once you walk inside, the authentic decorations and neutral colors gives the space a large and very authentic feel. There's plenty of seating but you have to order at the front first. For those not familiar with Vietnamese dishes, the menu includes pictures and descriptions of the food--a very mouthwatering and wise decision!

Bootleggers Saloon

Bootleggers is located in Osage Beach right off of Highway 54. Founded in 2008, Bootleggers Saloon features a "Speakeasy" atmosphere from the 1920s and is a favorite "hot spot" at the Lake. With summer right around the corner, the MMDG crew decided to check out the Lake for pre-season dining activity.

Bangkok Gardens

The MidMoDiningGuide.com staff lunched on delicious food at Bangkok Gardens. This Columbia, Mo., Thai food gem is located in downtown Columbia. It's worth going to see the beautiful interior of the restaurant alone - a great place for business lunches that won't break the bank!

44 Stone Public House

When you walk into Columbia’s new 44 Stone restaurant, you will notice two things. First, you’ll notice the stone archway and then you’ll notice the wall-spanning chalkboard with the restaurant’s beer and whiskey selection listed on it.
